Who are Energy Marketplace?
Energy Marketplace are a long term sponsor of Leagues Clubs Australia. We specialise in helping Clubs source the best deals for their energy supply agreements and provide ongoing support.
Will this impact on our Clubs current electricity contract?
No. The group procurement process won’t impact on your Clubs current electricity supply agreement. As an example, if your Clubs current electricity supply contract expires at the end of 2024, the new contract wouldn’t begin until January 2025. The same scenario would apply for any contracts that are already in place beyond that point.
How long would the next contract be for?
We are looking at an offer out to 31/12/2030. This will be a longer contract than your Club may have had in the past but will help to deliver the best overall outcome in terms of price and protection from future market volatility.
Does this impact on my Clubs supply of electricity?
No. The actual supply of electricity remains the same.
Will Clubs have individual agreements and receive individual bills?
Yes. Whilst the procurement exercise will take advantage of group buying power, any deal entered into would be specific to your Club (company name, ABN etc.) and individual bills from the chosen energy retailer would be provided per Club.
Will green energy be available as part of the group deal?
Yes. As part of the group buy initiative, green energy options will be available for your Club to consider.
When will an offer be available?
Negotiations are currently being held with the energy retailers and an offer is expected to be available in September 2024.
Does my Club have to accept an offer?
No. Your Club is free to accept or reject any offer made via the group buy process.
